Nicor Gas main installation begins Oct. 26 on St. Charles Road

Nicor Gas will begin installing a new gas main along St. Charles Road between N. Lincoln Avenue and Main Street in downtown Lombard the week of Monday, Oct. 26, the village said. The work, by contractor Miller Pipeline, also includes replacing service lines to buildings and is expected to finish by Saturday, Nov. 21, weather permitting. St. Charles Road will stay open, but drivers should expect temporary partial lane closures; on-street parking and sidewalk access may be restricted near work areas.
