Reading and sharing

You are welcome to read, print, and share our stories for your own use. Please share a link rather than copying a whole story, and if you quote us, a short excerpt with a link back to the story is the right way to do it.

Our work and others’ work

The writing and design on the site belong to The Lilac Post. Photos belong to the photographers credited under them and are used under the licenses named in each credit, so please follow those licenses if you reuse a photo. Names and logos of other organizations belong to those organizations.

Accuracy and timeliness

We work to get every fact right and to link to where it came from, and we correct our mistakes. Still, event times, closures, and other details can change after we publish, so check with the host or the official source before you rely on them. The site is provided as is, and The Lilac Post is not responsible for decisions made based on it.

Other sites, ads, and offers

Stories link to outside sources, and the site carries labeled sponsorships, referral links, and ads. We don’t control other websites and aren’t responsible for their content, products, or policies. Our privacy policy explains how ads and cookies work here.

Letters, tips, and submissions

When you send us a letter, tip, photo, or story, you confirm that it is yours to share, and you give us permission to edit it for length and clarity and to publish it on the site, in our newsletters, and in print editions.
