Election night: DuPage posts its first unofficial returns

The first DuPage County count is in, but no precincts have reported yet and every number below will change.

By The Lilac Post · Lombard · Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Polls closed across Illinois at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and the DuPage County Clerk began posting unofficial returns on its election results site soon after. As of 9:17 p.m. Central time, the county showed 0 of 600 precincts reporting, which means no precinct had finished reporting its count yet.

These results are unofficial and incomplete, and they will change as precincts report and remaining mail ballots are counted. The numbers below are DuPage County votes only, so in races that cross county lines, such as the statewide and congressional contests, they are not the full district or state totals. Neither the county nor the state has declared a winner in any race, and The Lilac Post is not calling any race.

The Illinois State Board of Elections had not posted 2026 general election vote totals when we checked. It publishes statewide totals after the counties report and the results are canvassed.
