Election results: what DuPage’s unofficial count shows for Lombard ballots
All 600 DuPage precincts have reported in countywide races, but the results stay unofficial until the county canvass, and mail ballots can still arrive.
By The Lilac Post · Lombard · Wednesday, November 4, 2026

Democrats led every partisan race on Lombard ballots in DuPage County’s unofficial count after the Tuesday, Nov. 3, general election. The Associated Press declared Gov. JB Pritzker the winner of a third term and Juliana Stratton the winner of Illinois’s U.S. Senate seat, and both local school questions, for School District 45 and High School District 88, appear to have passed. All four 18th Circuit judges on the ballot appear to have been retained.
Where the count stands
As of the DuPage County Clerk’s last update, at 11:25 p.m. Central time on Tuesday, the county’s unofficial results showed all 600 of 600 precincts reporting in countywide races, such as governor and County Board chair. The U.S. Senate race showed 600 of 605 precincts reporting.
These results are unofficial. “Precincts reporting” means each precinct has turned in its election-night count; it does not mean every ballot has been counted. Mail ballots postmarked by Election Day still count if they arrive within 14 days, and provisional ballots are still being reviewed; the Illinois Election Code gives the county clerk 14 days after the election to finish validating and counting them, so the totals below will change. The results become official only after the county completes its canvass, which the Election Code requires within 21 days of the election.
The numbers below are DuPage County votes only. In races that cross county lines, including the statewide, congressional, legislative and appellate court races, they are not the full totals. The Lilac Post is not calling any race. Where we say a candidate “appears to have won,” we mean the unofficial count shows a clear margin, or the Associated Press has declared a winner, as noted. In each list, the leader comes first.
